Meet Your Physical Therapist/Coach
Kay Mayordomo, PT, DPT, OCS
Owner/Physical TherapistI am a Bay Area native and I love helping people reach their potential. As my grandparents aged, I watched them face setbacks, but with the right guidance, I also watched them come back stronger and able to do the things they wanted to do. Those memories inspired how I see aging: not as decline, but as an opportunity to keep building strength and living fully.
While I love working with older adults, this perspective carries across everything I do. Whether you’re in your 30s, 60s, or beyond, my goal is constant, to work with you to help you get back to what matters most to you.
I offer 1:1 physical therapy, wellness/personal training, and group fitness to help you move from recovery to lifelong strength. Every plan is individualized and built with your goals in mind.
My own journey with movement fuels how I practice. I rowed in college, found a love for running, and now spend my time lifting, climbing, hiking, and spending time outside whenever I can. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me camping, exploring, or spending time with my dog, Atlas and my people. I also love watercolor, forest bathing, and audiobooks (usually during drives, since that’s when I get most of my “reading” in).
I graduated from the University of the Pacific for my B.A. in Sports Medicine in May 2011 and the University of St. Augustine, San Marcos for my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in December 2017. Right out of PT school, I completed a residency with Agile Physical Therapy and became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). I’m also an Institute of Clinical Excellence Certified Specialist: Older Adult and a teaching assistant in their Older Adult division. Last, but not least, I have my CrossFit Level 1 certification, which helps me integrate strength training, functional movement, and coaching into rehab and wellness.
